Ki To Health is the business name Dave Sowden uses to encompass many of his skills and practice, Ki (pronounced “kee”) being the Japanese term for life-force energy and a play with the English word Key. Ki is also the same as the Chinese term Chi that often spelt Qi.

Ki To Health is based at the Blue Lotus Therapy Centre, nestled in the grounds of the Scorrier Country Estate near Redruth in Cornwall. The centre is inside a barn conversion surrounded by green fields and woodland. A peaceful place to relax and receive a massage treatment. BREAKING NEWS: As Lockdown 3.0 is slowly coming to an end, Oriental Bodywork sessions will resume from 13th April on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays at the Blue Lotus Therapy Centre. Qi Gong sessions has finished for a summer break, and will resume from the 22nd September.
2020
The Blue Lotus Therapy Centre in now open for therapy work and has been set up for covid safety. Risk assessments, PPE, hygiene, no touch infrared thermometers, client declarations have been developed for the health and safety of clients, therapists and staff. Unfortunately all exercise classes at the Blue Lotus have been cancelled for the rest of the year.
Dave is working now specifically on Tuesdays and Fridays offering Remedial Massage and Oriental Bodywork on a couch or mat. These are 1 hour sessions only, and there will be 15 minute gaps in between appointments for cleaning.
Dave will be starting Qi Gong again from 22nd/23rd January. This theme for this term is Back & Spinal Health. For more information click here.
Dave will be offering massage taster treatments at the Healing Light Festival on 25th/26th January. Additionally to this he will be doing a workshop on Face Reading & Oriental Diagnosis at 12 noon on Saturday 25th.

Dave has this year been studying myofascial techniques to treat TMJ jaw dysfunction, and can easy be added to a whole body massage. 1 to 4 people in the UK suffer from TMJ problems including grinding teeth, limited mouth opening, pain around the jaw, and even neck and upper body discomfort.
Also Dave has been studying Foot Shiatsu as an advanced technique to enhance his Reflexology practice. If you like receiving Reflexology and Foot Massage, you will benefit from this approach.
